1760 - The Maratha army occupied Delhi

The 60,000 strong Maratha army under Sadasiva Rao captured Delhi in 1760 from Afghans and held it till 1761 when Afghans recaptured it.

Following three days of intense fighting—casualties numbered more than 50,000—the Battle of Gettysburg ended on this day in 1863 with a victory for the Union forces and was seen as a turning point in the American Civil War.

1. 1980- Harbhajan Singh

Harbhajan Singh is a member of parliament in Rajya Sabha, a retired Indian cricketer and a cricket commentator. Harbhajan played for the Indian national cricket team from 1998 - 2016 in a career spanning nearly two decades. He was a right-arm off spin bowler.

1. 1996- Raaj kumar

Raaj Kumar was an Indian actor who worked in Hindi films. He appeared in the Oscar-nominated 1957 film Mother India and starred in over 70 Hindi films in a career that spanned over four decades.
