National Doctors’ Day

Chartered Accountants’ Day

CA Day is celebrated to commemorate the founding of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) in 1949. The Parliament of India passed the Chartered Accountants Act of 1949. This led to the establishment of the ICAI, and eventually, CA Day.

1863 - The Battle of Gettysburg

The Battle of Gettysburg marked the turning point of the Civil War. With more than 50,000 estimated casualties, the three-day engagement was the bloodiest single battle of the conflict.

1867 - Dominion of Canada Established

A federation of colonies in British North America - New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Quebec, and Ontario - joined together to become the Dominion of Canada on July 1, 1867. An occasion that is now commemorated annually in Canada as Canada Day

1961 - Princess Diana Birthday

Diana, Princess of Wales, was a member of the British royal family. She was the first wife of King Charles III and mother of Prince William and Prince Harry. Her activism and glamour made her an international icon, and earned her enduring popularity.

1966 - NASA launched spacecraft Explorer 33.

1968 - The United States, the United Kingdom, the U.S.S.R., and 59 other states signed the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty in an attempt to halt the spread of nuclear weapons.

2002 - The International Criminal Court—established to prosecute and adjudicate individuals accused of genocide, war crimes, and crimes against humanity—began sittings.

1. 1949 - Venkaiah Naidu

Muppavarapu Venkaiah Naidu is an Indian politician who served as the 13th vice president of India from 2017 to 2022. He is the first Indian vice president born in independent India.

2. 1973 - Akhilesh Yadav

Akhilesh Yadav is an Indian politician and national president of the Samajwadi Party who served as the 20th Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh. Having assumed office on 15 March 2012 at the age of 38, he is the youngest person to have held the office.

3. 1992 - Rhea Chakraborty

Rhea Chakraborty is an Indian actress and VJ who primarily appears in Hindi films. She started her career as a VJ on MTV India. She made her acting debut with the 2012 Telugu film Tuneega Tuneega and later appeared in the Hindi film Mere Dad Ki Maruti (2013).
