3 June - World Bicycle Day
The United Nations General Assembly declared 3rd June as International World Bicycle Day to recognize the uniqueness, longevity and versatility of the bicycle, which are affordable, environmentally friendly fit sustainable means of transportation.
1. 1947 - Lord Mountbatten Implemented the Independence Act of 1947
The 3rd June 1947 Plan was also known as the Mountbatten Plan. The British government proposed a plan, announced on 3 June 1947, that included these principles: Principle of the partition of British India was accepted by the British Government. Successor governments would be given dominion status.

5. 2014 - Hashim Amla becomes the first non-white captain of the South African national cricket team.
6. 2021 - NASA launches 128 baby squid and 5,000 microscopic animals, to study effects of spaceflight, to the International Space Station aboard Space X's Falcon 9 rocket.
